DARNING TOOLS: In the days of yesteryear worn socks were not discarded, they were repaired.  By the light of lanterns or candles the lady of the house would sit in her rocker, insert a DARNING TOOL into the sock and create her magic weaving until the hole was no longer and the sock was ready for many more days.

Today Joan Cousins uses these wonderful old artifacts as her canvas to 'burn' in hand drawn graphics thereby creating unique pieces of COLLECTABLE ART for collectors around the world and enjoyed by generations to come.

PYRAGRAPHY:  The unique art of engraving and shading on a surface with a hot tool, sometimes called Poker Work.  This method of Ancient Art results in graphics that are most pleasing to the eye
